Why Film Needs a New Interface
Exploring the gap between AI prompting and cinematic direction.
Filmmaking has always been about control. From the first crank of a camera to the most complex CGI pipeline, the director's job is to make specific choices that translate an internal vision into a collective experience.
AI, in its current 'prompt-based' state, is the antithesis of this. It's a slot machine. You put in a token and you get a result. It's fast, but it's not direct.
We are building a new interface for film—one that treats AI not as a black box, but as a biological extension of the creative process.
